GRANDDADDY MADE ME DO IT

I was introduced to Grandpa Sutton through a story told by his granddaughter:

“Grandpa started running ‘borrowed’ cars and straight bourbon whiskey from Alabama to New York when he was only 13 years old.”

Sutton was equal parts mischievous, adventurous, and witty—always in that order. When he died, he took his bourbon recipe with him. The only thing left were mason jars filled with his legendary brew. His granddaughter has managed to recreate the mash bill under the name, Paul Sutton—a moniker that spans four generations. It’s a small batch whiskey brand steeped in family lore, carved out across three States, and cherished like a vintage Cadillac.

Alabama and Kentucky license plates from the 30s and 40s inspired the label. As grandpa Sutton was discreet with his dealings, the brand is minimal in its approach.
